HOME SWEET HOME

This is where we are living while they build (slowly) our house. It is really quite comfy. Our only complaint is the shower. Not enough room. We know we will be so GRATEFUL for all the conveniences of our home.

Yaquina Lighthouse

This is the view we see everytime we leave the street that leads to the property. It doesn't get any better than this!

Yaquina Bay Bridge

This is the Yaquina Bay Bridge. Isn't it beautiful? When there is a traffic accident, it is a nightmare. Hours and hours of standstill traffic. There is only one way in and one way out.....on that bridge. They are painting it black. Its usually so windy we don't expect that task to be completed anytime soon.

My Chores!

The picture of the laundromat is 1/2 mile from the house at Beverly Beach. Oddly enough, the owner is from Las Vegas and closes the small market and laundromat for the winter. The other picture is the view I see from my plastic chair while reading and waiting. The fog is called "marine layer". The valley gets hot, the ocean releases the vapor that cools off the valley. (Sounds like we are natives, Huh?) I didn't take the picture on a sunny day. I didn't want you to think this is a total utopia.

WEB-SITE DIFFICULTIES

Ok....for days now I have been trying to post pictures.....sometimes three and four times a day, only to have a message telling me that the page cannot be displayed, or sometimes it just disappears in cyber space. Anyway, I will give it another few days to straighten out, or I will start surfing for another blogger. Don't give up on us. Kurt & Debbie

View to the Northeast

The first picture was taken when Kurt and I were measuring for the house. The second pic has all the trees and shrubs removed. Huge huh!

Construction at a stand still...

This is audience participation. Lean your left ear towards your left shoulder. That is the scene we see out of our RV window every night at sunset. Believe me, it doesn't get any better than this. Well, maybe the view from the back of our house....the ocean.

Sand Septic

The first picture shows what the septic looked like before Kurt had to dig out, cut down, and rake the entire octagon. The other is Kurt and Faja resting after a job well done!

The Driveway

The picture on the left shows the driveway before improvements. The pic on the right shows our gravel, RV, and campground.

More before and after

This is the view towards the neighbors house before and after the trees were removed.
