These eggs are from a chicken breed called Ameraucana. The hens are black, blue, bluewheat, red, buff, silver and white. The eggs are various shades of blue and tans and some are speckled. I will cook you these fresh eggs when you come to visit!
So, naturally, all the mess was again in the driveway, which produces muddy paws for Faja. We needed our fourth load of "rock" the black gravel for the driveway
Took these from where the deck will be off the sewing room. Sorry for the blurry one, my hands were freezing. The lights are on the boats that stay out all night and get that great dungenous crab.
I never get tired of looking at the ocean. It changes everyday. The color, size of the waves, the foam. Today there was the high surf warning. We are learning about high and low tides. I really like the high tide, because I can hear it better from the house.
My daughter-in-law, Nikki, told me that when she and Corey built their house they used paper templates. I thought that was a fantastic idea. So, I bought an extra roll of Christmas paper and we made our couch and lazyboy chairs. Used a piece of wood for the kitchen table. Good to know where in the floor to put the electrical plugs. Guess whose chair is closest to the TV?
These guys did an awesome job of removing the trees that were in danger of falling on the RV. They were especially great to come to our rescue so fast. There were more claims filed in Washington and Oregon during the last storm than during Hurricane Rita!
I kid you not, this guy has built our entire house. Today he helped load the shingles on the roof and put in some windows. We are going to put him in the Newport Hall of Fame.
As usual, Joe came to the rescue. He was here at 7:45 armed with a chain saw. The other company showed up after 9. We still are shaking our heads at how incredibly lucky we were.
The RV took a hit, but not too bad, could have been a lot worse. The fence damage is on the neighbor's side that is bitter that we have to use their water. Wait til they hear about this!
Do you think something was looking out for us? Cannot tell you how scary this was. The winds were blowing upto 85Mph. We were freaked out. Lincoln City has no power. Insurance people were called. Cross your fingers this is covered.
Ryan is working on my deck off the sewing room. This is the nook. Can't you see yourself sitting there all cozy reading a book? When I first thought of this, I could picture my granddaughter, Kylie curled up there.
Awesome things are going to be built in here. We are also going to use it as a storage facility when it is finished, so we can get our things out of storage!
