The taping has begun. Hopefully, the power will be turned on into the house today, and we can get the house hot...hot...hot. Then, the mud will dry faster so they can do more coats.
We took this directed towards the ceiling. Its the skylights. I just can't get it all, but its beautiful. Again, Joe's placement was dead right.
This is the skylight at the end of the hall. Its perfect for those dull, dreary days.
Doesn't it look white....its the kitchen, of course. The goofy guy was the drywall finisher. He masked off the entire floor for the tapers. Then he followed behind the other guys and used screws to put it in place. The tapers got here this morning (Monday). They worked all week-end....YEA!
These guys put up the doors in a hurry. They haven't received the trim kit yet, so I will have to take more pictures. I have never had a garage, so this is pretty exciting. I need Corey to come and program my car to my clicker.
The sanitation department here delivered the water, go figure. Then he filled the tank so it wouldn't float out of the hole. Seemed pretty heavy to me, but what do I know.
Joe has dug the whole for the 1100 gallon water tank. He trenched from the tank to the well. Maybe someday we will have water of our own. Our hose to the neighbors house was frozen for three days. Kurt rolled up the hose and put it in the front seat of his truck and ran the heat. We did severe water rationing. My kingdom for our own water.
These pictures are actually for Kurt, but since it takes a long time to upload, I am including them. Our TV will hang where the wires are. Behind that wall is our bathroom.
Dean and Jacobey are pouring and smoothing the garage.....The ceiling is huge. Lots of storage. Kurt said we can get a fake christmas tree now, because we have someplace to store it!
