Moving Along....

One huge shower pan.....

The tapers came on Sunday. Now this will have to dry until Tuesday. Then the walls have to be primed and textured.

Looks Who is Working Again!

Once again Kurt needs to jump on the tractor and do some work.

Faja is helping him fill in the trench.

Siding...they ran out!

These pictures are the back of the house that faces the ocean

The triple window is centered on the family room wall...door....kitchen window....back door to BBQ...and Kurt's workshop.

SKYLIGHTS

The taping has begun. Hopefully, the power will be turned on into the house today, and we can get the house hot...hot...hot. Then, the mud will dry faster so they can do more coats.

We took this directed towards the ceiling. Its the skylights. I just can't get it all, but its beautiful. Again, Joe's placement was dead right.

This is the skylight at the end of the hall. Its perfect for those dull, dreary days.

Siding is happening

This is a picture of the house from across the street. We think it looks awesome. They work six days a week and show up at the break of dawn.

Drywall

Doesn't it look white....its the kitchen, of course. The goofy guy was the drywall finisher. He masked off the entire floor for the tapers. Then he followed behind the other guys and used screws to put it in place. The tapers got here this morning (Monday). They worked all week-end....YEA!

Garage Doors

These guys put up the doors in a hurry. They haven't received the trim kit yet, so I will have to take more pictures. I have never had a garage, so this is pretty exciting. I need Corey to come and program my car to my clicker.

Thompsons Sanitation

The sanitation department here delivered the water, go figure. Then he filled the tank so it wouldn't float out of the hole. Seemed pretty heavy to me, but what do I know.

WATER

Joe has dug the whole for the 1100 gallon water tank. He trenched from the tank to the well. Maybe someday we will have water of our own. Our hose to the neighbors house was frozen for three days. Kurt rolled up the hose and put it in the front seat of his truck and ran the heat. We did severe water rationing. My kingdom for our own water.

Front Porch

I need some creative ideas for the railing for the deck. So Corey, Annette, Barbara just to name a few.....lets hear from you!

Drywall....we're getting closer

The truck arrived with the drywall and unloaded...I get more and more excited every day. Hopefully only 7 more trips to the laundromat.

Wiring for the bedroom TV

These pictures are actually for Kurt, but since it takes a long time to upload, I am including them. Our TV will hang where the wires are. Behind that wall is our bathroom.

itchy ... itchy.... itchy

Everyone least favorite thing...insulation..I itch just thinking about it and I cough for hours after being in the house. Tuesday, the drywall starts.

We are freezing....

Faja had a good time in the snow....They delivered the insulation. Everything is going as planned.

This is crazy!!!

Four inches of snow.....unbelievable....

SPEAKS FOR ITSELF

Garage is Poured

Dean and Jacobey are pouring and smoothing the garage.....The ceiling is huge. Lots of storage. Kurt said we can get a fake christmas tree now, because we have someplace to store it!

Worker Bees

The guy on the left is a plumber. The guy on the right is making a hole in the concrete, but I have no idea why.

Introducing....Randy.....the electrician

What a great guy. Most accommodating. Very good at his job, and, naturally, over the budget. I put cans in EVERYWHERE. Can't have enough light.

THE CHAIN SAW

It was obvious that living among the trees, Kurt needed a chain saw. A money order arrived to help aid us in the "chain saw fund". My own Paul Bunyon.
