Broken Glass

These were the guys who replaced the broken glass on the brand new dual oven. The top is the microwave.

24 hours later, it broke again. Now I want a whole new unit. I am nuts when it comes to glass. I'm convinced that there is glass in the bottom oven.

This was supposed to be a picture of the oven. Instead you got the guest toilet. Nice huh?

Lots More To Do !!!!

This is the shop. Would you say we have some unpacking to do?

This is the other side. We really don't want to put more in the house until they are through working. It gets in their way, and the construction dust is awful.

BEDS...BEDS...BEDS

This is our master bedroom.....Not finished yet, but it is so warm and cozy........

This is the guest room......ready for all of you.....

FINALLY....some tile

Let me intoduce you to Lou.....The busiest guy in Newport......He is doing the guest bath shower so we don't have to go to the RV anymore.

Low Voltage

I had never heard of this before. I th0ught low voltage was Malibu Lights. This is Eric, and he is making all of our TV's work, and surround sound in the family room and most importantly my own network.

This mess of wires, runs the whole house. The only thing missing is the security system. With Kurt's new job and traveling someday in our future, we decided to put in an alarm system.

Outdoor Work

Its a beautiful day to work outside.

Joe is backfilling all of the trenches. and..........................

Todd is working on the handrails of the deck.

Mittelman's Visit

Loved having Jeff and Janice here for two days. He makes an awesome breakfast burrito. Told them it was a 2-star place now. No shower, one toilet, running water in the other bathroom and paper on the floor. Next visit it will be a 5-star!

Had to bring in some furniture so all could have a place to hang out.

Sewing/Office

Kearby carried up all of these boxes for us. Thank goodness.......

There is lots of work to be done. Annette told me to take it "one box at a time."

New Table

We fit well around the new table. It was fun having everyone over. Here we were into hot chocolate. MacKenzie and Levi slept in the guest room closet. She wants that to be "her room"

Fam ily Weekend

MacKenzie loved being in the middle of all the boxes.....

Kearby and Levi were hanging out and watching basketball....Levi was a HUGE helper. No kidding, he helped me put away all my kitchen stuff. He said I had too much tupperware.

1st Sunset

Now this is what its all about!

The whole time (7 1/2 months) we lived in the RV, I wouldn't come up to the house to see the sunset. I wanted to wait until we were actually living in the house. It was worth the wait.............

Guest Bedroom

These guys made this look easy.

We slept in the guest room the first night. Its comfy.

Trimwork...

It's Joe again. He has almost singlehandedly built our entire house. If not for him, we would not be nearly as close to finished as we are. Kudos to Joe...

I WON THIS.........

There was a drawing at the Newport Home and Garden Show and I won this backpack loaded with survival things. We will be safe, when the tsunami comes. We grab the backpack and run for the hills.

More Do-It-Yourself

Now, he is putting our computer desk together.

Lots of pieces.

Faucets

I fell in love with this "bridge" faucet by Moen. The one on the right is the instant hot.

This one is in the island's "prep sink".

Closet

This was the do-it-yourself closet system we went into Portland and picked up. Some of my clothes are in the closet, I must be home.............Kurt put it together in one day....My Hero!

Carpeting

You can see what member of this family is the happiest with the carpeting. It is a camel color and you can see the seam across the room perfectly!

Its in the sewing room. I chose a Berber so that I can see threads, needles, and pins that fall (or I toss) on the floor.

Wilmington Maple with a Chestnut Stain

The television goes on the right side, and guess whose chair is on the right? Yepper........the chief cheese. But, mine is closest to the ocean.

Its not finished, long story, but there is going to be a triple molding on top of the crown.

I cannot say enough about the kitchen. I just love it.....Finding the right bar stools will be a challenge in Newport. A trip to Portland will be in the near future!

The brushed nickel looks great. I will take close-ups.
