Starting Over

Okay, so I made a MISTAKE.......Everyone is human......The tile was beautiful. Just NOT for this kitchen. Lou had to remove the tile and bullnose and start all over again....Ain't life grand??? But Kurt did say, if you realy hate
it....now is the time to get rid of it, and believe me I HATED it!

FIREPLACE.......Finally Bricked

Lou called in a friend to do the brick work on the fireplace.....

We love it....Now the mantle has to be ordered and it will be stained the chestnut color of the cabinets.

Finishing Touches

This is the entertainment center finished. We had to add some flutes and a triple crown molding to make it look right.....We love it!!!

and...MY chair is centered on the TV side.

This is the finished nook. I need a gooseneck lamp by the receptacle. Notice the wall art. When the Gehlkens come to visit, they will think they are at home!!!

BEACH

Where else can you think of that you can come down to the beach, and not a soul is about! It was a beautiful day, high tide and sand castles were made.

I'm not sure who had the most fun, the twins, or the dog!

Playin' and Workin'

I knew the kids would find uses for the wardrobe .... We had a puppet show.

Tracy was awesome at helping me part with things I SHOULD NEVER have brought with me in the first place. Thanks Tra!

TWINS VISIT NEWPORT !!!!!!

Spent a wonderful week with Tracy, Jack and Bethany.

Don't know what I would have done without them. They schlepped boxes up the stairs, dusted, and mopped the floors.......My little slaves

Enjoying the nook.....just the vision that was in my head when we were building it.....

Our SHOWER

Kurt loved Corey & Nikki's shower so much, we got one of our own.

I need to take a picture of the final project. The plumbers won't come back until everything is completed.......this year, we hope!

Gray Days

Even on the gray and rainy days......the ocean is beautiful. I'm sure I told you it literally changes every day. I can't believe I am so lucky.

Odds and Ends

This is Faja's yard and Joe made the gate.....

Everybody's workin'

FIREPLACES .....finally

They came and set up our fireplaces. With a push of remote.....FIRE....

The bedroom is really nice. You have temperature control. We set your remote to the number you want, and it comes on and off by itself. Of course, I am waaaaay to hot at night to have it on. But someday it will be nice to get out of the shower and be toasty warm.

MORE GRAVEL

Can you believe we had to have
more gravel. I hope this is it!

It took Kurt and Faja about three house to shovel and rake....

Front Porch

We're at the tail end of the construction. Doing the fine tuning. Joe is making the columns bigger and better.

Closets..........

This is a HUGE utility closet which is good, because I have huge amount of "junk"

This is a great walk in closet in the guest bedroom...My grandgirl, MacKenzie, calls it her room and sleeps on the floor in here when she spends the night.

VIEW..................

A DOUBLE rainbow....The view changes every day. I couldn't get the picture fast enough, but you could almost the from end to end.....

The fishing boats look so close to the beach when the tide is high. They catch a lot of Ling Cod here..
