Rust.....Rust....and more

The exterior lights haven't been up more than 6 weeks, and they look like they have been there for years! Everything that is outside on the coast needs to be stainless steel......

Fajas Dog House

Kurt built it for Faja in Las Vegas. Then we drug it to Bob's house, because the dog was his. Then Faja was mine, so we drug it to Oregon with us. Now, he rebuilt it, put on the siding that matches our house, and re-roofed it. All we need to do now is paint it.

She doesn't go in it, but it looks AWESOME!!!

Inside the Shower

I had Kurt stand on a ladder to take the inside of the shower. I adore the hand held sprayer. I can't use the jets, but they are in all the right places for the boss.

Naturally, I fell in love with the anitque bronze fixtures.......everywhere. But, hopefully they are forever

Still a work in progress

Kurt has been busily building benches for his assorted tools. He can't find his stuff! Imagine that.......too much stuff

Master Bathroom

The only time the fireplace goes on is in the morning when we get out of the shower. I was lucky to find the shelf unit, cause there was no place to put any towels...

This is the finished sink and great wall art. Found it in a mail order magazine. Luckily, seashells are "in" this year.

A Sad Day....

My dear friend of 30 years, Barbara Picogna, has passed away. A deep sadness has enveloped my heart. She will be terribly missed by her family, friends and me......

Kurt Graduates

After three long weeks away from home, (except for weekends) Kurt has graduated from 911-dispatch school. Been a looooong time since he has been in school, but he did great! All sorts of studying involved, slept in a dorm (his roommates deserted him .... snoring....), meals in a cafeteria and having to salute the flag every morning.

His immediate supervisor and the head honcho came from upstate Oregon to see him graduate. The was really nice. I am sooooo proud of him!

More Color

Just had to show you these plants up close. The colors are amazing.

Faja and I sit on the porch on the forest side often when it rains. All is good. I can breathe............

Color spots

I think spring is going to be my favorite season of the year. The flowers are amazing. It is so nice to be able to actually GROW something beautiful.

This one is from the market. I am obsessed with flowers !!!!!

Gravel Pathway

They made a pathway from the side of the garage to the back decks' steps and put the mulch on both sides.

In the front, we made a pathway from the driveway to the dog's yard with gravel.

Then I want to plant rhododendroms next to the house. It is too late to plant them now, so we have to wait until fall.

I'm sure we will find something else.

Wish John Carter was here to help me!

Landscaping

Digger Joe delivered some rock and top soil.

When you get on a list, the Public Utilities District will bring you mulch. The guys gave me three dump loads and Joe and Kurt spread it around. Now, there is little "mud".

Beached Whale

This was really sad. This whale was already dead when he beached up north of Seal Rock. People were walking on it, and tearing pieces of it off the body. Quite gross. They don't know what to do with it, because the tides has not washed it off to sea. They think they will bury it somewhere. Marla and I went to see it when it had happened, and Kurt and I went back one week later. Need I tell you how it smelled when downwind?

Brought Marla to Oregon

Timing couldn't be better. Marla was between jobs and Joni had an extra ticket. This was our lucky day!

We had a great time, laughed a lot, and she got to see my favorite spots up close and personal.

She froze the whole time.........but after returning to Vegas, wished she was right back here

Bob Graduates from College

After much harassing, I talked him into walking across the stage. This was not an easy feat, working full time and studying too.

Needless to say we are very proud of him.

For those of you that are thinking that I was in Vegas and didn't call. You are absolutely RIGHT. I was there for only three days, and couldn't possibly get everyone in town. BUT, hopefully I can come again in December (much cooler!) so I can see my grandkids around Christmas time.
