Kathleen Krunches Kurts Knuckles

He is doing so well on his own, that we only have to see her one more time. She makes him crunch til he hurts!

But, it is for the greater good. I know his hand probably looks gross to you, but believe me it looks soooooooo much better.

Now, there is only this nail that grows out in the wrong place. We see the surgeon in a couple of weeks and find out what to do about it. Doesn't the pinkie look so sad?

Snow????.........Nah.......its Hail

Well, if you look fast enough, it looks like the coast got some snow again. But, its not. Its hail.

And it hurts when it hits you. Last spring, Faja and I were walking to the mailbox and all of a sudden it started to hail. We literally RAN back to the house. Kurt was getting in the car to come and rescue us.

Full Moon...............

The moon is the only thing lightening up the ocean. There were two stars, but they seemed to have disappeared........I still get up early!

Lincom

This is where Kurt works. It was the Christmas party, so i managed to snap a couple of pictures. He is working on the fire/medical side and doing the dispatching.

The whole thing is greek to me, but he is doing well and seems to enjoy it!!!! Amazing what these people have to remember.

This is Becky. She was on the police side. Next to her was Janae. She watches Kurt to make sure he doesn't make any mistakes. He only makes a few, but everyone is human. Nothing life threatening.....:)

I was afraid to take anymore. I didn't know if they were allowed.

Storms.............

The colors of the ocean change every day. I am amazed at how green the water gets in spots.

Soon the whales will be crossing our waters. Can't wait. All you whale watchers, common down!

You can't ever get tired of these sunsets........Life is good

Helpers

Honestly, these kids love to help. Levi hung out with grandpa all morning long.........

And Kenzie hung out with me! She is a whiz on that swiffer!

Mulcher

The hardest part is putting it together! Kurt does an awesome job at that.........

Stuff goes in all ends and Levi had fun helping his grandpa.

By the way, it was FREEZING that day/

Kurts newest toy

One would think by now, we have everything we could possibly want. So not true!!!!! I got a couple of new sewing machines, pictures at a later date) and Kurt got a chipper.

And luckily had Levi to help him navigate it.

Movie Time........

There is nothing better than a couple of grandkids on my lap. We were watching movies after our dinner. Don't let those sleepy kids fool you...............They didn't get to bed until 11pm....
Kenzie called my for a nite hug and asked me when it was dEsert time........:)

Hanukkah......

So thrilled that Stacie and the kids were here for hanukkah dinner. Kearby had to work and couldn't get here this year, and Kylie was spending some quality time with her dad!

Janae is the best guest. She got the "family" treatment.....Paper plates, and eating out of the cooking utensils and she did the lion's share of the clean up. AND she brought the dessert. Cheesecake, brownies and cookies. She can come to all of the family functions!

Aftermath

Some waves were as high as 20 feet, and so frothy......

Well, yet again, we lose trees. It did not break the fence, thank goodness. I think a mulcher will be in Kurt's future.

At least it didn't do any damage!

Damage control

Well, the Orca guys showed up the day after the stormy weather hit.

Believe it or not, the top of the fireplace blew off in the wind storm. Joe and Russ fixed it, and replaced some of the shingles.

Power tools again!

One huge tree limb literally cracked off a tree and blocked the road. Kurt to the rescue!

No Propane!

Ok, so its the worse storm to hit the coast in 8 years, and we run out of
propane..........

No power.......No HEAT!!!!!

We called the emergency number and they had to send someone over
with a few gallons to get us back and warm.

The guy had to re-light all the pilots.

Stormy Weather

A huge storm is headed our way.
We went to the market today and stocked up with necessary supplies.

They are predicting hurricane force winds with peaks up to 100mph.
Thank goodness we are in the house. Hope there isn't much damage. All the roads surrounding Newport are just two lane highways. When trees are down, traffic is horrible.

Coast Guard Training

The Coast Guard doesn't get enough credit for the awesome work they do. This ocean gets so treacherous, and out of control and these guys risk their lives to save others.

It awesome to watch them practice and right outside our back door!

No Gold.......Just Cows

First time we have ever seen a rainbow from the bottom of the left side to..................................

The bottom of the right! No pots of gold, however. Kurt pulled over to the side of the road for me to take these pictures......
