Lacee.....................
Lacee is my hair stylist. She also does pedicures, manicures, waxing and facials. She is bright, energetic, and smart. She has bought this salon and I am extremely proud of her.
I am fortunate that I found someone that I adore, and is really good at her job.
This is the outside of the little shop. Its just perfect for her, and I know she will never have to look back.
Good for you Lacee.......going after your dream, while you are young enough to enjoy it!!!!!!!!!

Rhodies and Bulbs.......

Its exciting to wait and see how these flowers are going to look! The Rhodies are in the barrel and this species is a very early bloomer. We shall see. We are not even sure what color the blooms are going to be. Kurt planted it in the fall.
These are tulip bulbs. I can't wait to see these too. I was afraid they were coming up too soon, but i'm thinking everything is okay.
At the beginning of the rainy season, the bulbs were popping above the dirt. I had to stick them back in.....:)

Our First Bone Break.............................

Look at that great hot pink cast!!! Whoever thought Kenzie would be the first grand with a broken bone. Not me, I was sure it would be Levi!
Well, her mommy let her open her b-day presents from grammy and grandpa a little early.
She got the perfect purse for her first airplane ride. (She is going to a wedding with her mom to Arizona).
I found a bag of trinkets at the senior center the other day. They had an event called Bedazzled. I knew this would be a hit!
We all had a good time seeing what was in the trinket bag.
And I filled the pockets with things that belong in a purse. She loves her lip gloss..............

Finally>>>>>>>>>>>
Florence
On our way to Coos Bay, we stopped in Florence at a little grill for lunch. Very cute town. There were quite a few boats in the harbor.
What a great park! Just in the middle of the street. We didn't walk down the path.......saved that for the next visit.
A snap of the stores in the "old town area." Little chotskie shops up and down the street.
Campgrounds At The Dunes
This is the horse trail you follow to get to the dunes. Horseback riding on the sand. How fun would that be!
And, they have these horse corrals in the campsite. Quite a different site for this "city girl".
This is the staging area where you drive up and get ready to go to the dunes. There are trails everywhere. I can't figure out how you don't get lost.
The Bridge into Coos Bay
Finally, we had some sunshine and Kurt, Faja and I went to Coos Bay to see a ship that became exposed from the sand moving north. But, we couldn't get there without a 4 wheel vehicle. We are going to go back there (2 hour drive) and spend the night and do some exploring of the area.
You can see some of the dunes to the right. Kurt did a ride-along with the Forest Service and saw some of the area, but it was all NEW for me!
The Sand is Gone
This is the same beach that I took all of my grandkids to, and they played in the sand!.......I was amazed that during the winter storms, the sand has all blown to the North. I think that is incredible......
Faja was so disappointed. We couldn't even close enough for her to chase the waves. I wonder how many months from now it will take for the sand to come back. She is walking on ROCK...
