Sunset over the bridge.

What a great shot! This is the sun setting behind the Yaquina Bay Bridge.......

Postman............

We thought it was hilarious that he drives his car from the middle so he can stretch and fill the mailboxes. Weird, huh?

City of Toledo............

Toledo is an industrial town.
Its cheaper to live here than Newport, and its 10-15 degrees warmer. They are a great community that takes care of one another.

This is the Georgia Pacific plant. This plant keeps tons of people working. Fortunately, the economy hasn't hit here.

These are the logs that belong to GP. Not exactly sure what they make here, paper maybe.....

Yaquina River

It was such a beautiful day, that we took the back road to Toledo to a garage sale......

This is the view to the left.............

and the view to the right.......

Seashore Birds...........

Some ducks......

Great Blue Heron in flight....

Right before he flew off....

Landscaping Supplies............

This is where the majority of our supplies come from. We use the natural elements.......and it doesn't hurt that it is FREE......

and legal!!!!!

Kurt is going to put these rocks in concrete so we will have a secure fire pit......Perfect for S'mores which the kids adore.

It Takes a Village.....

The guys are discussing plans for building a pinewood derby car.

Levi's car is called "the Flash"....... Grandpa's job was cutting out the wood and drilling some holes for the assembly of the tires......

Ocean Spray...

Ocean spray has a different meaning for us......lol

When the sun hits the spray just right you can see rainbows.....

Fishermen?????

In three years, we have never seen anybody fish from the shore at this location. I asked a couple of men what they catch here, and they said perch, and striped bass.......Who knew????

Low tide.....

When the tide is up, it is amazing that you cannot see any of these rocks.....

The species you can see when you get up close are awesome.

Faja isn't happy when she can't get close to her "splashes"......

The "orange" is a starfish.

The Yaquina Lighthouse is beautiful. It was recently given a facelift.

Faja is smiling...

Along with the sun shining, we have taken the dog to the beach every day.

She is happiest at the beach!

Workshop.....

Kurt has been working feverishly trying to finish the shop. After playing with his tools for almost 3 years (can you believe it?), he now knows where he wants things placed.

If he did the blog, he would explain what is what. But, since I do the blog you will have to do it yourself.

Sunsets.........

This week, unusual weather for Oregon. The sun has been shining for 6 days in a row, and the sunsets have been incredible.
