Abby's Training............

Let me tell you, this is hard work. For Kurt, that is. But its working. We go for a lesson once a week, and Kurt and Marc take turns teaching Abby, what Sue says to do. This week we were working on HEEL. Abs was doing a good job. I cannot work with her. She is way to strong for me, and I can't yank on this "choke collar". Just as well. I get to hold her on the 8' leash when she is allowed her "free time". Thats ore fun anyhow.

Greenhouse Remodel..............

We are taking our vegetables quite seriously this year. Last years crop of cucumbers and tomatoes were awesome. So, Kurt enlarged the greenhouse to a nice size of 8x8, and of course is making it to resemble the house and pump house. He made another plot behind the greenhouse for corn and squash.

Beautiful Roses............

Bob and Jenna bought us these amazing roses for our anniversary. They arrived several days early and as of today (Feb. 21) they are still open and smelling wonderful. A huge thank you kids....Put a smile on my face!

Marc's kitty cat...........

He named her wicked and she is so cute. She has gotten much bigger. She can't come to the big house now, cause Abby and her need some time to adjust to each other.

Meet Abby Gehlken...........

We adopted Abby from a breeder. Her original owners brought her back because she could not take care of her anymore. She turned three on Dec. 16th. She has not had the happiest life until now. She has hit the jackpot. She is looooong, and skinny. We have had her for three weeks, and I think she has gained a couple of pounds. Abby is so smart, and learns very fast. We are working on her leash training.

She especially likes Kurt. That's actually fair, cause Faja was certainly my dog. Abby hangs out with Kurt outside and doesn't wander off. She has filled the hole in our home.....and working on the hole in our hearts!

Amaryllis-Positively Stunning

They are such a joy to watch grow! The trick will see if I can make them grow next year...

Words of Comfort

Jenna had this made up for all of us. Its a wonderful organization. My whole life, I have planted trees in Israel when someone passed away in their honor. This organization does it for pets. Thank you Bob and Jenna. It certainly tugged at my heart.
