Finished Stones.............

Jenna, Marc and I think Bob made two. This is a test.....e-mail me to see if you know who made each stepping stone.

Spring is Sprung...........

Just the tip of the iceberg. There are going to be some wonderful tulips and daffodils coming soon.

New to us.......Teak table............

I found this teak table and six chairs on Craigslist. A wonderful deal. Everything at the coast disintegrates. Seriously, the table and chairs literally rusted to their death. The legs separated from the table top, and the chairs came apart at the base. Teak is so expensive, but used.......not so much. Marc spent the weekend sanding the table top. It will be unbelievable when its oiled. New pictures will taken for sure.

Seedlings.....

You are looking at the 2010 Gehlken future crops. We have our faves...........Cucumbers, tomatoes (several varieties) squash, catnip (for Wicked), and lettuces. I started the seeds on an old heating pad in the laundry room. When they developed their first leaves, we moved them down to the potting bench in the garage. Kurt hung a fluorescent light over the seedlings to keep them warm, and to have another 12 hours of daylight.

Tomorrow we will move them to the FINISHED greenhouse! So nice to have a guy who is incredibly TALENTED!

Coming and Going..............

I had a wonderful surprise!!!!! Bob and Jenna came to spend my BIG ONE with me. First, I cannot believe I have reached the big 60. Some days, I really feel it!

It was awesome to have them here with us for 6 days. Given that two are travel days, we had four pretty nice days together. It only rained for two of the days. They are going to come back n the summer, I hope. Sure miss you two!!!

Stepping Stones ala Hortons...............

I love to have everybody make stepping stones for our yard. You can never have too many and they make great memories. I find all sorts of "materials" at the garage sales.

The new dog whisperer............

Bob really has a way with animals. German Shepherds for sure. By the time he had to leave, he had Abby shaking paw to hand!

Family Togetherness

This is the new way of spending quality time together..........Everybody, including me, was holding an electronic device. Honestly, we did talk to each other...... :-)
