Some View, huh???????????

This is the amazing view we see from the end of the road from our house that meets the highway. Now you know why we are smiling every day. B E A U T I F U L......................

Ravens Nest..............

This is the Daddy sitting on the top of the trees. Daily, we watch mom and dad bring worms to the nest. Unfortunately, we can't see the nest because it is behind those leaves, but I hope I get to see the babies the first time they can fly......................

First Radish Crop...............

Aren't they beautiful???? These are the first of our crops to come out of the ground. This year we have planted, potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, onions, snap peas, cucumbers, and corn. More pictures will follow. We also planted lots of herbs. This year, we are going to "feed" our plants. I just know they will produce more product!

Shields Playhouse.............

We had a wonderful day at the kids' house on Memorial Day. Grandpa worked hard with Kearby and Levi helping. MacKenzie helped as well.

This is going to be the new amusement to help pass the long hot summer days when they can't be at the beach.

Kearby has NO vacation days for this summer, so the Shields are grounded (so to speak). Hopefully, we will see lots of them this year.

Isn't this a beautiful view from the corner of their yard. I should have taken more pics of the yard. Its HUGE, and they have done a great job.

Although, I don't have a picture, Kearby put on the roof on Sunday the 6th with Levi IN THE RAIN........

This is Goldy............

Meet Goldy. She is a 2004 Cadillac SRX. Its what they term a crossover, between an SUV and a Stationwagon. She has 50,000 miles on her and is in excellent shape.

My Lex had 136,000 plus miles on her. After doing much research, we learned that around this many miles, engine troubles MAY occur. Transmission troubles might start as well.............
So, with much sadness, we traded Lexi in. I know my parents are smiling down on me for buying A) an American car, and B) A Cadillac. For as long as I can remember, they owned none other.

Nail Clipping...........

See Abby trying to escape in the bottom picture????? Oh my gosh, you wouldn't believe what a stressful operation this is for Abs. She HATES this. I tried to do it, and she flashed me her teeth, and gave a guttural growl. No thank you!!! So then, Kurt tried to do it, and she wiggled all around. He would either leave them too long, or cut them too short.

This is my friend Della, and she owns Four Paws. We both are on the Newport Farmers Market Board of Directors. We also work on the committee that juries new vendors.
