Carrot Crop.....................

The kids helped me plant these carrots, and they got to pull them too.

In fact, Kylie made us a carrot cake the next weekend they came to visit.

















I have to say that its pretty exciting to eat something you have grown with your own two hands.......









Unfortunately, neither Kurt nor Marc like this veggie. But, I get them all to myself, and I love them. After they are washed, you don't even have to peel them.

Faja wouldn't get near this thing, but Abby seems to adjust to it just fine.

Today, I was spending time with our snap peas. Its our best crop. Nothing hurts this plant.

The more you pick em, the more they grow.


















We get so many, I have to freeze them for winter.

If you look closely, there is a squirrel sitting on the branch.

















I cannot tell you how long Abby sat just like this staring up at that squirrel.

Kurt is building a frame structure out of our own tree logs. He is either going to put a swing in there (of course, he will build it himself) or perhaps a hammock.

Either way, it will be amazing. It has a great view of the lighthouse.














Here, the cart comes in handy for schlepping the weeds to the gully.
